WHY BLACK LIGHTS?
Many years ago Black lights were known mainly as novelty items as a means of unusual lighting. We have discovered that UV Black lights have uses that go beyond just novelty usage. What we are attempting to do at Black light World is bring to the market place a variety of products associated with Black lights for every possible use imaginable but specifically for security, anti- theft and many types of Marking Applications and various types of detection applications.
 

TYPES OF BLACKLIGHTS
There are a few kinds of Black lights and we will keep it as simple as possible. There are certain Lights that are sold as Black lights but they are actually BLB or Black light Blue and do not emit the proper light for many applications. We have found this to be the case with many keychain lights that only emit a blue light. All of our Black lights are True UV bulbs and are safe, long wave style. Short wave UV can be dangerous and is primarily used for certain germicidal applications. There are also white colored UV bulbs like the type used in tanning beds or even Lizard cages which we do not offer on this site. REAL UV Bulbs with screw in sockets will ALWAYS have a built in ballast that can easily be seen. This ballast assures you that it emits true UV Light! All tube style with dark purple glass are always true UV.

COUNTERFEITING & FRAUD
One of the most common uses for UV Black lights today are for the detection of Counterfeit Currency And Credit Cards. UV Black lights of some kind should be used by anyone that handles currency.

PET STAIN & HUMAN WASTE DETECTION
Did you know that waste fluids from living organisms glow under a Black light? Carpet Cleaning services have know this for years and use Black lights to treat Pet Stains. Hotel Cleaning Staff managers use them to make sure a room has been cleaned by
its staff.

HAND STAMPING
For Years theme parks, night Clubs, Race tracks, and other establishments have used a UV light in conjunction with Invisible Ink to protect against unauthorized entry. Even places like Prisons use these to secure entry by visitors. Using Invisible Ink and changing the marking from day to day makes it difficult to reproduce.

VALUABLES & MARKING ANTI THEFT PROTECTION  
One of the biggest problems of theft is lack of recovery because the items cannot be traced to the original owner. By applying a special mark your valuables or stock items can be identified and returned quickly. This process can be used on Books, documents and Home Theater equipment to name a few.
